These Terms of Use apply to everyone who uses iChef — whether you are booking a chef as a client, offering your services as a chef, or simply browsing the platform.
By accessing or using iChef, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
iChef connects independent freelance chefs with clients who want private dining experiences in their homes. We are a marketplace and booking platform; chefs are independent contractors, not employees of iChef.
Chefs must complete the iChef Academy courses on food hygiene and private-home cooking before publishing a profile. You are responsible for complying with all local food-safety, licensing, tax, and insurance laws in your country and city.
Clients must provide accurate booking details, including dietary restrictions, allergies, and the correct event address. You are responsible for verifying that a chef's offerings meet your needs before confirming a booking.
Pricing is set by each chef and shown on their profile. When a client pays through iChef, the total includes the chef's price plus a service fee. iChef also deducts a service fee from the chef's payout on each completed booking.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method used at checkout. Refund processing times depend on the client's bank or card issuer. Service fees retained by iChef are not refundable unless the cancellation is due to the chef's fault.
Clients and chefs agree to make, accept, and pay for all bookings exclusively through the iChef platform. Both parties are prohibited from arranging bookings outside of iChef, bypassing the platform's payment system, or exchanging private contact details to complete a transaction independently. Violations may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of platform benefits, and legal action under the laws of Spain.
Do not use iChef to harass, discriminate, defraud, or endanger others. Do not share another user's private contact or address information outside the platform without permission.
iChef is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, iChef is not liable for disputes, food-borne illness, property damage, or other incidents that arise from interactions between chefs and clients.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lérida, Spain.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
